Google Pixelbook is the best Chromebook this far. This Chromebook feels more premium than any other Chromebook and it has a gorgeous screen and a fast processor. If you’re coming from Windows to a Chromebook, you might struggle, but if you have one or you’ve used one before you will really like this one (see the lowest price).

Benefits
It comes with a seventh-generation Intel i5 processor, a 128 GB SSD, 8 GB of RAM and a “Pixel Pen” stylus for writing on the screen. Compared to Windows, most Chromebooks run on relatively low-spec processors. This is happening because the Chrome OS is not as demanding and is designed with mobile users in mind.
Relatively low-spec processors mean that most Chromebooks will be in a low price range and budget friendly. In this case, we have a powerful i5 chip which is practically too much for a Chromebook. This is a good thing because it is one of the fastest models reviewed so far. Everything from processor and RAM to the Chrome OS works in tandem to give you a speedy experience.
This laptop can also be used as a tablet. It’s a 2-in-1 device. The slim profile of the Pixelbook makes the tablet mode feel more like a tablet rather than a big fat folded laptop. The keyboard, touchscreen, and Pixel Pen are all responsive. All in all, it looks like a well-designed laptop.
The display is beautiful, colorful and bright. In a well-lit room or outside the screen is still easily viewable. The battery life is not outstanding but it holds up well at about nine hours. The Pixelbook has a start-up time of just five seconds which is really impressive.
Downsides
With such a great design, there had to be a downside as well. The speakers lack bass which means a rather thin sound. Your favorite movies will sound dull though speech is clear and understandable. Given the dimensions, there’s no way you can fit really good speakers inside, but for the asking price, this is still a bit of a letdown.
Verdict
Of course that an expensive Chromebook is not going to be for everyone and certainly not for anyone that wants to start using Chrome OS. This is more for somebody that has used a Chromebook in the past and know that is different from Windows.
No doubt this is the best Chromebook on the market right now although we don’t really understand why it needs such a powerful processor. It does make it somewhat futureproof though. If you want to make your first dip in the Chromebook world there are a lot of cheaper options that you can start with.
