Inside of it lives a seventh generation Intel i3 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD, and it looks like this Asus is going to be fairly quick for casual use. You won’t have any issues with word processing or Excel either.
It has a fast boot-up, about 7 seconds from off to on. The screen is Full HD with no visible pixelation, clear and enjoyable upon gaze making it perfect for enjoying movies. It might not be the best, but for the price of this laptop, it’s as good as you can get.
The battery life on this laptop is about six hours when watching movies or web browsing. It might not be able to compete with a MacBook on battery life, but we look at a few hundred pounds shaved off of it.
Although the sound is pleasing, sometimes the bass feels like it’s not there. The speakers are not the best, they won’t blow you away, but we can forgive that giving the fact that the laptop body is slim and you can’t really fit powerful speakers inside.
The touchpad feels a bit on the cheap side on how it performs. It might be better to use a mouse.
If you’re a demanding user, this one might not be for you. But if you’re looking for an everyday machine with the premium looks, bright screen and a quite speedy processor, this Asus Zenbook UX410UA should serve your needs.
